Through my studies as a harpsichordist (a Masters degree from HMT in Leipzig) and organist (Masters degree from UMFC in Warsaw) I became increasingly interested in technical aspects of restoring and maintaining historical keyboard instruments culminating in an Erasmus+ traineeship at the HMT, Leipzig, where as a curator of historical keyboard instruments I took care of numerous university instruments – harpsichords, virginals, chamber organs, clavichords and fortepianos.
Since then I have gained further experience working with other specialists in Poland, Germany, Italy, France, United Kingdom and the USA. Among others, I have been further developing my technical skills with a placement in the workshop of Zuckermann Harpsichords International in Stonington, Connecticut and through an ongoing cooperation with SLJ Budowa Organów workshop in Pruszcz GdaÅ„ski. I am regularly employed by Atelier Marc Ducornet in Paris.
I have constructed both a spinet and a harpsichord out of kits. Additionally, I have taken part in numerous renovations of instruments in Poland, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France, United Kingdom and United States, dealing with all aspects of action correction and renovations.
As a tuner and harpsichord technician I am currently responsible for the historical keyboard instruments at the UMFC, Warsaw. I have worked at the Polish Radio and Royal Castle in Warsaw as well as at the Bachfest Leipzig, various Polish Festivals such as Wratislavia Cantans in Wrocław, International Festival of Early Music in Bialystok and Mid Europe Early Music Festival in Kielce; for solo CD recordings in the UK and Poland, and for orchestral courses of the European Union Baroque Orchestra (Belgium, Romania) where I was also a tutor. Further teaching includes both harpsichord and maintenance classes at the UMFC and during summer courses.
I continue to work as a professional soloist and continuo player - most regularly as accompanist and tutor during the Summer Methodical Courses of Early Music in Warsaw. My harpsichord playing abilities have been recognised by several main prizes at harpsichord competitions (Vilnius, Poznan, Cracow).
